Daniel Martin
Graduate student intern Daniel Martin has worked at LLNL’s Nuclear Counting Facility for the last three summers (2019–2021), playing a key role in instrumentation upgrades there. Daniel is working towards his Ph.D. (expected 2025) in Electrical Engineering at UC Davis where he is interested in control systems. “I love electrical engineering because it allows me to explore robotics and embedded systems as well as computer science and engineering,” says Daniel. But, as he puts it, “there’s some things that courses don’t really teach that internships do.”
Daniel was born in New Jersey but has called the Bay Area home for over 18 years. He is an active Christian and enjoys watching European soccer in his free time.
